Is California's centrist, less-rancorous governance a lesson for D.C.?

What is this?  Some kind of joke?  Banning lead bullets is so centrist.  Not!

The turnaround from just 10 years ago — striking in tone, productivity and, at least on fiscal issues, moderation — is a lesson in the power of one-party rule.
Yeah.  There was one-party rule  in another place.  It was called the Soviet Union.
“You see Republicans voting for immigration reform, you see Democrats voting for streamlining environmental regulations,” said Dan Schnur, director of the Jesse M. Unruh Institute of Politics at the University of Southern California. “You never would have seen that before.”
Yes, we've put those stupid, damn idiotic Republicans in their place. They're now in the back of the bus and they say "yes massa!"  and "no massa!"  Yep! all is peaceful and calm now!

Now we can really fuck the little guy.

You know what I think?  I think there is collusion going on. All of a sudden there are articles about CA being CENTRIST???
