9 Worst Recession Ghost Towns in America

You can guess where a lot of them are...

Rio Vista, CA

This paved but undeveloped property is located in the northwest corner of the area called Rio Vista.  Just southeast of this is a very nice, very well developed subdivision that seems to be thriving.  But this is a huge chunk in the area.

Victorville, CA
The area in question is but a sliver of the whole city.  Yeah, it's a big empty lot, but a "ghost TOWN"? Not really.

California City, CA

This is probably as close to a ghost town as you're going to get.  Vast swaths of land have been paved with nothing standing on either side.  There is a central community area, but it rapidly dissipates at the edges.
